Terms of Service
1. Acceptance
By using checkvin.ng ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. What we provide
The Service allows you to decode a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and, for a fee, purchase a Nigeria Import-Status Report for that VIN. Up to three free VIN checks are provided within each rolling 30-day period, subject to availability and reasonable-use controls. Additional checks may require payment until the free allowance resets.
3. Payment
Paid reports are processed via Paystack. Prices are stated in Nigerian Naira (₦) and are payable at the time of purchase. Each paid report is generated for the specific VIN submitted and is non-transferable to a different VIN.
4. Refunds
Because reports are generated and delivered automatically upon payment, and because the VIN is decoded successfully before payment is ever possible, all sales are final except where payment was taken but no report was generated or delivered due to a fault in the Service (e.g. a technical failure on our end after payment succeeded). In that case, contact us within 14 days of purchase for a refund review.
5. Accuracy and limitation of liability
See our Disclaimer, incorporated into these Terms by reference. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CheckVIN.ng and Aurum Digital Consulting Co. are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the Service, including decisions to purchase, import, or clear a vehicle based on information provided. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the specific report giving rise to the claim.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use automated tools to scrape, bulk-query, or resell data from the Service without our written permission, and not to submit VINs you do not have a legitimate reason to check.
7. Data and privacy
We collect the email address you provide to deliver paid reports, and limited technical data used to enforce the rolling free-check allowance and protect the Service against abuse. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms, the Disclaimer, pricing, or promotional/free-use allowances at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
